Kanye West Sued Over "Girls Girls Girls" Sample

Kanye West is facing yet another lawsuit over an uncleared sample, this time for" Girls Girls Girls."
Rolling Stone reports that The Persuaders singer Robert Poindexter claims West borrowed from his "Trying Girls Out" without seeking proper permission. The song is included on Yeezy's 2006 mixtape Freshman Adjustment 2'.
Poindexter wants West to fork over $500,000 in damages, claiming that West willfully knew that the sample had not been approved, as he had previously used a cleared version for a previous track, also titled "Girls Girls Girls," which is on Jay-Z's The Blueprint. The song features West.
In other words, he knows better.
Poindexter unearthed the song by chance online last year and believes he is due proper financial compensation even though West released the song as a mixtape, as opposed to commercially.
Team Kanye West or Team Robert Poindexter?
