Karen Meat Introduce Their Infectious Indie Confidence ‘On The Couch’

Karen Meat formed in 2014 - are an alt-indie quartet from Des Moines initially led by Arin Eaton, a Nashville transplant with an aptitude for straight-talking songs and an ear for melodic hooks that are as infectious as they are instrumental.
The band's lo-fi debut Karen Meat & The Computer won a great deal of praise from critics and audiences who responded to the off-kilter feel that echoed bands like the Moldy Peaches whilst charting it's own path. Drawing energy not only from Eaton's direction but from Brad Turk's contributions which balanced the sonic scope, the debut album as well-round and ambitious and stacked with charm.
Karen Meat releases a new, four song 7" called On The Couch, on June 3rd via Sump Pump Records - the issue is short, sweet, and builds on the charms and sentiments of previous offerings. ARTISTdirect Interviews caught up with Karen Meat to discuss the accompanying video.
