Kathleen Hanna and Julie Ruin Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates
Wed, 14 May 2014 16:47:51
Kathleen Hanna and The Julie Ruin have cancelled all shows and appearances until September 2014. The reason for tabling planned events is serious.
OG Riot Grrrl Hanna, wife of Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz, has been outspoken about her struggle with Lyme Disease, which explains her temporary absence from music. She is currently having a relapse and has been advised by her doctor to start a difficult three-month course of treatment immediately.
The treatment plan will make it impossible for her to travel.
The Julie Ruin are disappointed to have to postpone these appearances; however, they are confident that taking this time off will allow Hanna to heal so that they can continue touring in the future.
We totally get it. Hanna MUST take care of her health first. Get better, tour later! We support her efforts to get better.
