KC & the Sunshine Band's song "Give It Up" is strongly featured in The Black Eyed Peas' song "Love You Long Time" and KC is speaking out about it. It's a bit of a mixed message. Read it below and see what you think.

"I have recently learned that the Black Eyed Peas have utilized my song 'Give It Up' in their new composition 'Love You Long Time' which appears on their new album," remarked Harry Wayne "KC" Casey in a statement. "I LOVE the Black Eyed Peas and am truly honored that my music has crossed over decades and many types of music genres. Will.i.am is a great producer and I am thrilled that he is a fan of KC and the Sunshine Band, too."

Despite spewing love for the Peas, KC isn't resting on his laurels about their "borrowing." The band's attorney David Bercuson is working to achieve an amicable solution to the legal issues resulting from this situation.

Hmmm, what does that mean? It sounds like the band didn't properly secure the rights to use the song, maybe?

What is your favorite song by The Black Eyed Peas?
