What does rock 'n' roll icon Iggy Pop have in common with pop tart Ke$ha?

Well, for starters, they both hate seal clubbing. Both artists have partnered up with PETA's campaign against the clubbing of baby seals in Canada. They will appear in advertisements that decry this cruel practice.

The anti seal clubbing initiative bers the slogan "Canada's Club Scene Sucks." Harp seals are slaughtered for their fur. How cruel and not necessary.

Props to Iggy Pop and Ke$ha for taking a stand against seal clubbing.

What are you doing to help animals, namely the baby seals being clubbed in Canada? Here's a suggestion: Retweet this news. Twitter about it. Post about it on Facebook. Shit, resurrect your MySpace page and post about it there! It's that easy to spread the word about this worthwhile cause.
