Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has apologized to his bandmate of 50 years, Mick Jagger, for offending him in his autobiography Life. The autobio went on to sell over a million copies and was a runaway success, but it caused some controversy due to the way the unflattering light in which he painted his singer.
In the memoir, Richards described the frontman as "unbearable" among other insults.
"He [Mick] and I have had conversations over the last year of a kind we have not had for an extremely long time and that has been incredibly important to me," the guitarist told Rolling Stone. "As far as the book goes, it was my story and it was very raw, as I meant it to be, but I know that some parts of it and some of the publicity really offended Mick and I regret that."
White flag waved! It takes a big man to apologize.
