Kenny Chesney Celebrates Christmas With New Song and Card Function

Country superstar Kenny Chesney has shared "Christmas in Blue Chair Bay," an acoustic song about celebrating the holidays with people you love. There is also the opp to make an interactive Christmas card on his site, too!
Given the time and his innate creativity, Chesney made a very DIY video for the song, some culled from home movies of old friends from the islands, to capture the song's intention.
Having been off the road, the country icon wanted to do something special for the fans, too, and that's help them to create a Christmas gift that they could share with their friends and family.
"Everybody says stuff like that, but it's harder to do well than you'd think," Chesney offers. "Thankfully, the people around me understood I wanted something people could make their own... the way the clip for 'Christmas in Blue Chair Bay' really is a lot of my old friends back when. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to create an online Christmas card, something [they] could send their friends, personalize with a message and different pictures."
First, check out the song below.

"We all have those special places we like to go to get away with our friends or our family," Chesney explained. "It doesn't have to be the beach or the water. It could be a mountaintop or the desert. But somewhere you and yours go to get away from it all, and this video shows how that looks for me. And in the spirit of the season, I thought we could do a contest to send someone to my idea of paradise."
As for the song itself, Chesney admitted, "I didn't set out to write a Christmas song. I was getting ready for a writing session, and we got talking about a lot of my trips to the islands. So many of them were around the holidays, people I know, adventures we've had and the way you can just savor a day when you don’t have anywhere you have to be."
Ahhh! Sounds like heaven, that whole savoring a day where you have nowhere to be! And we love a Chesneyfied Christmas song, too.
