When he isn't working on a device designed to clean up corporate oil spills, actor Kevin Costner is trying to forge a music career. Or at least he was trying. The Cost has dismissed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against a music promoter whom he claims did not back his musical career aspirations, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Court records filed in Los Angeles show the lawsuit against Mahee Worldwide Ventures Inc. was dismissed last week. The filings do not offer any additional details. Apparently, ol' Kev does not want to discuss the happenings. Fine by us. But we will let you know that the suit was filed back in April 2007 and claimed the Mahee reneged on a deal to book Costner's The Kevin Costner Band for five shows per year, all the while maintaining a marketing website for the band, as well.
The case had been long-delayed because Mahee filed for bankruptcy. Well, it must be that Costner wasn't going to get any loot from a company that's gone belly up, so that is why he cancelled his suit!
Have you ever heard the music made by The Kevin Costner Band?
