Kid Ink "Almost Home" EP Review — 4.5 out of 5 stars

"I just want to shine," declares Kid Ink on "Money and the Power" an irresistible cut from his brand new Almost Home EP.
Nodding to Tony Montana on the title, he does Scarface proud with fiery verses and quips like "Life is a bitch, but I bet get that bitch wet". Ink's got an undeniable ability to infuse that sharp sensibility into even catchier fare like the R&B-tinged goodbye "Was It Worth It" featuring Sterling Simms, while elsewhere "Sunset" coasts from video game-esque keyboards into a cinematic narrative cruising Cali with no cares.
"Bossin' Up" takes Ink to another level altogether, stretching well past the six-minute mark as he and two other bosses A$AP Ferg and French Montana go head-to-head on a slippery, skittering beat. It's emblematic of just how skilled and scorching these three MCs are. Then, of course, there's hyper hot single "Bad Ass" featuring Wale and Meek Mill.
Kid Ink's on his way Home at the top. Shine on…
