Kids Ride for Free at KISS Concerts

Gene Simmons and his KISS cohorts recently kicked off their North American tour and the band is making sure that their concerts are family-friendly. For each adult ticket purchased, the long-running, makeup-slathered rock institution is giving out free lawn tickets to up to four children. But there is a deeper motivation here! Bassist/singer Gene Simmons told Billboard, "It's time to give back," explaining that he wants children to know "there's another world out there besides Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers."
While many right wingers and conservative pundits might think that that men wearing makeup and platform leather boots is the best entertainment, I am all for it. One of my earliest concerts –before I was even in double-digits in age- was KISS! And it inspired me to be the awesome rock 'n' roll Druidess that I am today, so I think Mr. Simmons is once again showing his brilliance with this economical and influential plan.
Will you be taking your kids to a KISS show this summer? For the music or the cheap tickets?
