Kim Cattrall is Miss January

Kim Cattrall is leaving her Sex and the City alter ego behind. The actress will star in Miss January, the directorial debut of Keith Bearden, who also wrote the film's script. Bearden has made a name for himself by directing short films and won the Silver Lion award at Cannes for commercials.

Brian Dennehy and Keith David will also star in the film. The film centers on a young man who travels across the country to meet his dream woman, played by Cattrall, a screen siren from the 1980s who is now a single mother in her 50s and embroiled in a nasty custody battle for her child. The film is shooting in Michigan and is being financed by Gilbert Films.
