From our "This'll Make Glee Co-Creator Ryan Murphy Happy" files: Kings of Leon are postponing their March tour dates overseas so that drummer Nathan Followill can recover from recent surgery. Murphy and the Followills are battling in the press over the Kings denying Gleeusage of their music.
The postponed gigs would have seen the Kings of Leon travel to Australia and South Africa between March 6th and 27th; they have been moved "to November 2011 to allow drummer Nathan Followill to recover from surgery for a torn right labrum and bicep," read an announcement from Australian live-events promoter Frontier Touring Company. According to the statement, doctors have advised the drummer that he will need at least three months to fully recover from the surgery.
Followill himself piped up via Twitter last Friday, posting the following (unedited) Tweet: "Sorry to all the fans in Australia and South Africa. My bum wing needs more time to heal but we'll be back later this year. Sorry again."
Hope the bum wing heals on the quick.
