Kings of Leon are not just a great band! They also know how to mine and find talent! Their own Serpents & Snakes Records is excited to announce that they have signed Snowden, the moniker of Austin, TX-based Jordan Jeffares. Formed in Atlanta in 2003, Snowden released its first full-length album, Anti-Anti, in 2006 via Jade Tree.
In February 2012, Jordan recorded his much delayed sophomore album, No One in Control, in the Benton Harbor, MI-studio of Bill Skibbe (The Kills, Jacuzzi Boys). The record is slated for a fall 2012 release.
Check out the new song "The Beat Comes," which begins with a quiet acoustic guitar, and creeps towards a lush, atmospheric crescendo, with synth-encrusted rhythms and percussion at its brooding core. Jeffares simultaneously emotes dread and gloom with relief and acceptance, through one of his more uptempo vocal performances.
Sounds amazing, right? Don't read our words. Listen!
