Kings of Leon Turned Down "Glee"

Kings of Leon aren't down with Glee! WTF? How can you not be down with Glee? It's only a cultural watershed. Hello! But bassist Jared Followhill said the band turned down a request for their music to appear on the series. He told NME that he has never seen the show but is aware that everyone loves it. Okay, that could be a recipe for further success for the band. Or are the Kings being all anti and overly precious? I am sure there are thousands of other bands who would clamor for the opp to work with the show.
Lady Gaga, Journey, Madonna and The Beatles have allowed their music to appear on the Fox series, so the Kings would be in terrific company, but they aren't moved an inch by these facts. "We could have sold out so much more. We turn stuff down constantly," Followhill said.
Glee wasn't the only show looking to incorporate the Kings into their plots. The band also turned down an offer to appear on the now-defunct Ugly Betty. "They wanted us to play ourselves. We were supposed to come in and help with some problem or other," said Followhill.
Should Kings of Leon strike while the iron is hot and become Gleeks?
