Kirk Hammett of Metallica just unleashed his incredible new book Too Much Horror Business - The Kirk Hammett Collection.

In honor of its release, ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief Rick Florino spoke to Mr. Hammett about what he thought the scariest Metallica songs are. He knows the horror genre inside and out, and the legendary band have certainly had some incredibly chilling heavy tracks. Most of those gems would be the perfect soundtrack to any horror flick given their epic, orchestral intensity and classical resonances.

Read on below to find out what the "Scariest Metallica Songs" are according to Kirk Hammett.

    Scariest Metallica Songs

    "Enter Sandman"

"I think 'Enter Sandman' is a pretty scary song when you think about it. 'Off to Never Never Land' is dark. I was actually listening to a lot of Soundgarden around when I was writing 'Enter Sandman'. It was Louder Than Love."

    "Call of the Ktulu"

"In terms of a pure horror soundtrack, I think 'Call of Ktulu' is so appropriate'. I would have to say those two songs are some of the scariest we've done."
