Never ones to do things by half, KISS wrapped up their 2017 KISS Kruise VII in style by announcing the band will take to the seas again next year to celebrate Halloween 2018.
This year's KISS Kruise sailed out of New Orleans, Louisiana, with stops in the Caribbean island of Cozumel and coastal stretch of Costa Maya in Mexico. 2,300 fans on the ship enjoyed a two full-scale, mask-on performances from KISS in the ship's indoor theater, as well as appearances by musical guests including Bruce and Bob Kulick, Extreme, Steel Panther, Derek St. Homes, Big Rock Show, BITERS, Led Zepagain, Hard Day's Night, Sophie Simmons, The Dives, Jake J and the Killjoys, and Ki.
Onboard activities for the KISS Navy included "Kruise Kitchen with Paul Stanley," "Are You Smarter Than A Rock God with Gene Simmons," "Name That Solo with Tommy Thayer" and "Drum Off with Eric Singer." The festivities extended to historical costume displays, face painting, a full service tattoo parlor, photo opportunities with KISS memorabilia, once-in-a-lifetime chances to mingle with the artists on board, and culminated with each guest receiving a signed commemorative poster and photo with KISS.
Next year's KISS Kruise will sail out of the port of Miami, Florida, on Halloween, and will last until November 5. Details of exactly where the ship will visit have yet to emerge, though guesses can be based on the fact that it is recommended that participants carry a passport with them throughout the journey. Fans who are dead-set on joining the action can register for pre-sale now, with priority for ticket purchases given to guests of past Kruises.
