Lady Gaga Buys Zappa House

With a new video, "Perfect Illusion" released just two days ago, and a new album, Joanna, set to drop on October 21st, Lady Gaga is in for a busy month. She's celebrated by dipping into the real estate market, and has purchased the Hollywood Hills complex that used to belong to Frank Zappa.
As reported in Variety, Gaga bought the half-acre compound for $5.25 million. That includes a main house featuring six bedrooms and seven bathrooms over 6,700 square feet, along with an attached staff apartment and two separate guesthouses.
Zappa fans will be intrigued by the fact that the house also comes with a "sizable storage cabinet chamber where Zappa kept his archives under lock and key, and, no doubt of great appeal to the new music-making lady of the house, the so-called Utility Muffin Research Kitchen — Zappa's sprawling recording studio."
Other listed details include "many one-of-a-kind embellishments such as an elaborate dragon mural in the dining room and porthole windows and doors salvaged from vintage submarines."
Variety adds that, "The terraced grounds offer a hodgepodge of decks and patios along with a greenhouse, a swimming pool, a rooftop tennis court, and gardens that feature 'one-of-a-kind mosaic art.'"
A video of the complex can be seen below:
With Gaga heavily rumored to be the main attraction at next year's Super Bowl halftime show, though that still hasn't been confirmed, the already-hugely-popular star could be about to step up another level.
"We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision," an NFL rep told Billboard when asked about Gaga. "We're happy there is so much excitement about the show."
