Lady Gaga Demands Photographers Surrender Copyright

Rolling Stone reports that the oft-photographed Lady Gaga is now demanding that photographers surrender the copyright of photos taken at her concerts and that's a practice that pisses off snappers. Photogs would be required to sign a release form before being granted access to shoot her.
In addition to standard release restrictions regarding the use of images shot at her concerts, the document states that any photos taken at the show become the property of Lady Gaga. Copyrights exist to protect intellectual property and creative works, which photographs are, regardless of subject.
Gaga is so frequently photographed by paparazzi and at awards shows that it seems unfair to place more strict demands on the photographers who come to her shows and promote them via their live shots, no?
The Foo Fighters and The Beastie Boys also ask shooters to surrender their copyrights.
What do you think of Gaga's request?
