Lady Gaga Enters Partnership with Armani

Lady Gaga has reportedly entered into multimillion dollar partnership with the Italian design house Armani, the fashion label that provided her Grammy outfits and "Alejandro" music video costumes. The house did not design her meat dress from the VMAs and somehow, I don't think Armani would have gone that route for the pop star, either. When one thinks of Armani's sleek designs, meat isn't the fabric one would associate them!
Instead of providing her with runway pieces to wear, Armani's niece, Roberta was quoted as saying that the house would customize clothing for Gaga. Robert said, "It wouldn't be possible to give Gaga a look from the collection because she wears pieces of art. It's theatrical." Armani's looks are certainly more tailored than what Gaga wears, so it makes sense that Armani would custom-design pieces for her.
The collaboration began last year when Giorgio's niece Roberta got in touch with Gaga's and asked about the fashionista's interest in wearing Armani for the Grammys. Giorgio created three outfits for Gaga to wear and instead of picking just one, she wore all three! When you have Giorgio Armani designing dresses for you, you might as wear everything he creates, no?
Armani will be designing the costumes for Lady Gaga's next tour.
