Poor Lady Gaga. Her Asian tour is fraught with protesters. The latest to throw a fit? A group in the Philippines asked officials to follow the Indonesian government and pull the plug on her gig.
While Muslims are protesting the Jakarta gig, it's hardline Christians that converged on the capital city Manila in the Philippines on Friday (May 18) for a rally to stop the contest.
The protesters, from the Biblemode Youth Philippines group, say they are offended by her music.
Gaga is due to perform in the city today (May 21) and tomorrow (May 22). Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto has urged promoters to ensure she obeys the rules.
In a statement, he says, "Although we respect artistic and musical expressions, I won't allow anyone or any group to provide acts which may be questionable in a way at any venue under my jurisdiction. We reminded the producers of Lady Gaga's concert that the show and the event as a whole shall not exhibit any nudity or lewd conduct which may be offensive to morals and good customs."
The group vowed to file a lawsuit against the singer if she performs "Judas," which offends them, at the shows in Manila.
What should Gaga do?
