The gay community is about to rejoice on the level, as Lady Gaga and Elton John will perform together with Dame Shirley Bassey at the Rainforest Fund Benefit concert, held May 13 at Carnegie Hall. It's the 21st "berf day" of the organization that was launched by Sting and wife Trudie Styler in order to protect and preserve the endangered species known as the rainforest. There will be additional guests, as we well as a live auction and gala dinner after the concert. Sounds like fun, fashionable and good karma times!
The event will be producer by Styler, who was responsible for getting Gaga to take a minute off from her Euro tour in order to participate. Sting will also play with Elton and Gaga; Dame Shirley will also perform with Elton and Sting, rendering "Hey Big Spender" as part of the set.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale in early April at the Carnegie Hall box office, while information about the gala and a ticket order form can be downloaded at rainforestfoundationfund.org. The fund has raised a whopping $30 million and have expanded their range into 23 different countries. The last benefit show was held in 2008.
Are you psyched to see Elton and Gaga perform together for a second time in three months?
