The Associated Press reports that Lady Gaga has gone on record to promise that she will embark on an Asian tour next year. Thousands of her precious monsters were on hand for her first-ever performance in Taiwan over the weekend.
A massive crowd showed up to check out the Mother Monster in the central city of Taichung on Sunday, which had officially been declared "Lady Gaga Day" in her honor. 6,000 people packed into an open air theatre on a steamy night, with another 40,000 watching on a huge screen outside.
"I had such a wonderful time last night. I couldn't believe so many people came there," she told hundreds of the press corps who were also squeezed into the ballroom of a hotel in Taipei.
"I played almost an hour and 20 minutes. Normally my concert was about two hours, so the performance last night was almost a full concert," Lady Gaga said, adding that she sang nine songs rather than four.
Her promise to tour Asia was as follows: "I'll tour all over Asia. I promise... I will be back and you'll see a full show," she said.
