Lady Gaga is being rumored to appear at the 51st annual Super Bowl Halftime show which will happen on February 5th 2017 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Speculation about her involvement follows stories last month in which Adele claimed that she had declined an offer to perform at the NFL's season finale, to which the NFL issued a peculiar non-denial denial.
However, now Billboard reports that Lady Gaga is being considered to play the big show. Gaga, who previously sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50 seems like a likely contender. She has just released "Perfect Illusion" featuring Josh Homme on guitar, and she recently announced that her new album executively produced by Mark Ronson and featuring an impressive lineup of indie-stars including Beck and Florence Welch, is nearing completion.
"We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision," an NFL rep told Billboard when asked about Gaga. "We're happy there is so much excitement about the show."
