From Our "Is Anyone Surprised?" File: The raw meat dress Lady Gaga wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards had already started to rot when celebrated California taxidermist Sergio Vigilato started the process of preserving it for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Vigilato was asked to rejuvenate the frozen Argentinian beef frock but it landed in his workshop, it had already begun to spoil.
Vigilato told Los Angeles Times that "the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame had already paid me upfront – $6,000 – so I went ahead with it (process)."
It took the preservationist about a month to clean, cure and preserve the gown so that it could be displayed at the Cleveland, Ohio museum.
