CartLady Gaga Says Adele is "Wonderful" + "Set the Bar High for a Lot of Women"

Lady Gaga talked to Stylist about her recent weight gain and the criticism and controversy that followed, with people calling her fat. It caused her to spark the Body Revolution via her Little Monsters website, where she (and her fans) posted photos of their bodies. She addressed how idiotic it was and even referenced Adele.
She said, "I thought, well I don't really care if they think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds." So she did admit that the home-cooked meals did pack pounds onto her petite frame.
She then said something a bit controversial. "Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it? She's so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match," Gaga commented.
"She has set the bar very high for a lot of women. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people," Gaga continued.
Did that sound like a backhanded compliment?
