In the May issue of Harper's Bazaar, Lady Gaga says that late designer Alexander McQueen, who killed himself at age 40, which was a sad, shocking loss for the fashion community, had a hand in writing "Born This Way", at least on a cosmic level.
"I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote ‘Born This Way,'" Gaga said. "I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing."
Gaga also said it was mere coincidence that the hit single was released on February 11, 2011 -- the one-year anniversary of his suicide. "When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing," Gaga said. "I didn't even write the fucking song! He did!"
Gaga also talked about plastic surgery saying that it is responsible for "promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification. "I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have."
She also summed everything up effectively, saying, "I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me."
What do you think of Gaga's comments about Alexander McQueen channeling himself through her music?
