    Lady Gaga laid down cash to buy 55 items at the Michael Jackson stage costume auction, according to the Associated Press. Gaga bought the jacket that Jackson wore on his Bad tour, which reportedly sold for $240,000.

    The Mother Monster tweeted: "The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide."

    So she bought them to preserve them. We doubt she will bust them out on the Born This Way Ball tour or on future live treks.
