Lady Gaga to Pen Next James Bond Theme Song?

According to a story posted by the UK Press Association, Lady Gaga is rumored to be atop the studio executives' wish list of which artist they would like to pen the theme song for the next James Bond film, which is the 23rd in the franchise. Kate Winslet's estranged hubby Sam Mendes is directing the film, which will once again star the dashing, knee-weakening Daniel Craig as 007.
A source is quoted as saying, "Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans, her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice. Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad. She's a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level."
Rumor has it that that beehive-sporting hot mess known as Amy Winehouse – talk about flushing a career filled with promise down the latrine thanks to drugs and other assorted problems- is also on the wish list. Winehouse was supposed to pen the theme for Quantum of Solace, but her personal issues 86ed that plan and Jack White and Alicia Keys stepped in and yanked the gig right out from under her noise. There was probably something else –powdery and white, perhaps?- under Winehouse's sniffer. Just sayin'.
Who is a better choice to pen a bond theme? Gaga or Winehouse?
