Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe has been acquitted. The singer was tried for manslaughter in the Czech Republic after a young fan died at a May 2010 Lamb of God show in Prague. Blythe was accused of causing the brain injuries that the fan, Daniel Nosek, died of a few weeks after being thrown from the stage.
Blythe had no idea about the death of the fan until he arrived in the Czech Republic in June 2012. He was removed from the plane and jailed for five weeks. After posting bail, he promised to return to face the charges, all the while proclaiming his innocence.
Blythe revealed the verdict on his Instagram page. He posted: "I have been found not guilty & acquitted of all charges against me. I am a free man. This photo was taken by my friend @aceyslade- it says it all. Please remember the family of Daniel Nosek in your thoughts & prayers in this difficult time. I only wish for them peace. Thank you for your support- Randy."
The prosecutors are appealing and seek a five-year prison sentence.
