Lauryn Hill Investigated by IRS Over Tax Returns

The enigmatic and reclusive singer Miss Lauryn Hill of the Fugees fame failed to file tax returns between 2005 and 2007 and now, New Jersey prosecutors are claiming that she owes federal taxes on more than $1.6 million in income.
Papers were filed, indicating that Hill owns and operates four private corporations. Her album royalties are the source of her primary income, though. Hill has a brood of six kids to feed, so this could get messy and on the quick.
Each of the three tax charges Hill faces carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a $100,000 fine. Yikes. Don't mess with da I to the R to the S.
Hill is due in court to face the charges.
