Lauryn Hill to Tour North America This Winter

Elusive R&B diva Lauryn Hill will embark on an intimate North American tour. She will launch her tour in New York City on December 27 and play a bunch of local shows before heading down the East Coast and into Canada.
In a statement, Hill said that she "may never play venues of this size again." The singer, who retreated from fame for much of the ‘00s, said that fans can expect a live band, big sound and a set list filled with hits from her Grammy-winning, critically lauded and commercially success album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which was released in 1998.
Earlier this year, Hill granted an exclusive interview to NPR about her absence from the music industry, saying, "Oftentimes, the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds. It's important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected. Oftentimes, I think people are forced to make decisions prematurely. And then that sound radiates."
