It's time for VH1 to update their Leif Garrett episode of Behind the Music. The former Tiger Beat heartthrob was arrested over the weekend for fare-jumping on a Los Angeles subway, and further charged for felony drug possession when police discovered he was carrying a small amount of heroin.

Garrett, whose biggest hit was the disco-era anthem "I Was Made for Dancing," has a long history of alcohol and drug-related problems, beginning with a tragic car accident in 1979 that left the pop star's friend and passenger, Roland Winkler, paralyzed. Garrett was alleged to have been drunk when he slammed his Porsche into another car and plunged down a hillside.

Garrett has pleaded not guilty to felony possession of heroin. He remains behind bars without bail because of a prior drug arrest.
