Singer and Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has asked a judge to dismiss the breach of contract lawsuit brought forth by her own mother, insisting it's based on a "non-existent" agreement between them! Family drama! Ugh!
Constance Meester is suing her daughter over claims the actress reneged on an oral agreement to pay her $10,000 every month for life! Wow, that's a "big deal," ain't it?
Meester and her lawyers argue no such deal exists. In a petition filed last week, the star's legal team is requesting that the suit should be thrown out since Constance is suing over "a non-existent management agreement." That makes sense. If an agreement does not exist, how can you sue over it?
There is a lot of litigiousness between Mom and Daughter Meester. Leighton sued the woman who birthed her this past July in a bid to have a judge declare there was never any binding contract between them.
Meester, 25, also accused Constance of taking monthly payments intended for her sick brother Alexander and using the money to get cosmetic treatments. That's evil.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Oct. 5.
