Leonardo DiCaprio and
Kate Winslet earned their
fame from their work in
Titanic, and the two philanthropic stars have pledged to give back by supporting the last
remaining survivor of history's most famous sinking ship.
The duo have put money into a fund to help pay for survivor Millvina Dean's nursing home costs. Dean was just two months old when she was a passenger aboard the doomed ocean liner. She has been living in an English facility in Southampton for the past three years, after breaking her hip. She has had trouble maintaining the fees for her care and sold several mementos from the Titanic in order to raise money in October. DiCaprio and Winslet launched The Millvina Fund on Monday in Belfast.
