Lil Wayne Awarded the Key to Lafayette, Louisiana

The Mayor-president of Lafayette, La., Joel Robideaux presented Lil Wayne with the key to the city before a concert last night. In footage from taken from the brief ceremony, the Mayor tells Wayne, “We appreciate what you and TIDAL have done on behalf of the philanthropic efforts.” ... "We want to present you with a very special key for the city that we made for you, one of a kind, nobody else has it.” The said key is attached to a chain necklace, it’s truly tailor-made for the rapper, who is a New Orleans native.

Two days ago Ariana Grande premiered her latest single taken from Dangerous Woman (ahead of its May 20 release), “Let Me Love You,” which features Lil Wayne.
Earlier this month we saw the release of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’ collaborative album, Collegrove. Last year Wayne put out the No Ceilings 2 mixtape that featured freestyles over Drake and Future beats. Wayne’s latest studio album (his eleventh), Free Weezy Album, was released the same year as a TIDAL exclusive. The album title references Wayne’s struggle with Cash Money Records.
Lil Wayne has a few concert dates left on his current North American tour. May 6, Wayne plays Phoenix, Arizona’s Comerica Theatre. June 11, he hits Detroit, Michigan’s Chene Park. Weezy caps off his tour this spring at Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Panther Arena.
At this time Lil Wayne has no future tour dates or festival appearances scheduled for the summer.
