Lindsay Lohan Axed From Linda Lovelace Biopic

While Lindsay Lohan is to be commended for seeking treatment for her dependency issues, the party lifestyle that got her there continues to claim her career as its numero uno victim. Lohan has been axed from (and will be replaced in) the forthcoming Linda Lovelace biopic Inferno, which many thought would put Lohan's career as a "serious" actress back on track, since it's a meaty role.
Director Matthew Wilder had been openly supportive of the actress while she dealt with her personal issues, even saying he would wait until his star completed her rehab stint before he began filming. Well, those plans are out the window, as he will recast the role of the world's most famous early-era porn star with another actress.
Wilder said in a statement: "We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support … Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her — and some other issues — have made it impossible for us to go forward."
Her replacement? Malin Ackerman of Watchmen fame.
Do you think Lohan's career will ever recover?
