Asking Alexandria have already become one of heavy metal's most thrilling live acts. As the stages get bigger, they'll undoubtedly get even better and more brilliant too.
The group merges swaggering arena rock bravado with bone-crushing heavy metal. Live, singer Danny Worsnop commands the crowd with effortless charisma and his pristine delivery. He nods to the greats like Steven Tyler and Axl Rose but with his own twisted charm. That's one of countless reasons not to miss them on this summer's Rockstar Mayhem Festival.
Given his presence, ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief Rick Florino spoke to Asking Alexandria singer Danny Worsnop about his three favorite concerts in this exclusive interview.
3 Favorite Concerts
"That was my first concert ever, and it's probably also my favorite. It kind of inspired everything I've grown to be. I was really young, and it was in England."
"We toured with Avenged Sevenfold, and their show is just phenomenal. It was cool to see my friends up there rocking."
"I feel like I'm going to leave the next one open, but right now it's Def Leppard. The Harlot guys and I saw them a little while ago. In month or so, it's going to be Aerosmith because I'm going to see them. I've never seen them, but I will very soon. Def Leppard were incredible. We saw them in a really unique way that most people don't get to. It was at House of Blues. It was really intimate and small. It was pretty much invite-only, and it was a really cool experience."
