"I've waited for so long, and I won't wait one minute more," We Are Harlot frontman Danny Worsnop croons on "Denial".
Well, as far as waiting goes, the wait is over for We Are Harlot. Asking Alexandria singer Worsnop's been hinting at the group for years now, and he delivers on every promise of bombastic, badass, and brilliant rock 'n' roll cognizant of its eighties roots while firmly planted in today. "Denial" unexpectedly begins with a bright piano intro as Jeff George's guitar resounds loudly through a succinct and steady beat from Bruno Agra and a walloping bass line courtesy of Brian Weaver. Worsnop takes the spotlight with his voice shining on the level with his genre idols. As the track kicks into high gear, he drops in a few signature growls once again deviating from the template and keeping the crowd on their toes.
It spirals into pure rock power on the fret-burning solo from George, who's bound to inspire a new era of shredders. Worsnop adds a distinct swagger and charisma to everything. If anybody's going to resurrect the wildly passionate panty-dropping spirit of rock's heyday in the eighties, it's We Are Harlot, but they're doing it on their own terms.
Don't wait any longer. Listen to "Denial" now.
Did you dig We Are Harlot?
