New music alert! Take a listen to JAN's "Work for the City" from her new album JAN, which lands November 13. The album combines fuzzy guitars and riot grrrl-infused vocals in the vein of Wild Flag and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
That certainly perked you up, didn't it? It's a sassy, "rawr!" sound!
So who is JAN?
Well, JAN is Kim Talon, known as the latter half of art-rock band Eagle and Talon. She is gearing up to release her debut album as JAN, a new solo project. The self-titled debut is a genre-straddling album that packs a mean punch. Kim is joined by Chloe Saavedra (Smoosh) & Melinda Parks (Har Mar Superstar) when performing live, and has collaborated with Reggie Watts and toured with artists like Sia and Obi Best.
