Listen to Plankton Wat's "Empire Mines" - Portland indie rock, yo!

Plankton Wat is Dewey Mahood of Portland, Oregon, who, until earlier this year, was a founding member and integral part of the freewheeling psych ensemble Eternal Tapestry.

Following his departure, Plankton Wat has become his primary musical concern, and Drifter's Temple, his follow-up to the beloved Spirits album, shows Dewey sharpening his songwriting and creating some of the most engaging music to come out of the Northwest's now-legendary psychedelic underground.

The album will be released on September 17 via Thrill Jockey.
