Robert Raimon Roy (formerly Rob Roy) will be releasing his new album, Le Tigre Blanc, on December 11 on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records. His self-titled single is out now, and we want you to listen to it.

But before you do…Roy says his album is "an adventurous pop album that deforms and combines several epochs of rap, R&B, jazz, and rock music, from James Brown-esque grunts and screams, to '90s New Jack Swing, to modern trap, and even gospel hymns; it is a meta-work of the Internet era, a coming-of-age tale for the post human in the Internet era."

    Killer description, right?

And one more sec. Roy's history is as follows:

Robert was discovered by Erykah Badu and her manager Paul Levatino in 2005. They both reached out to him on MySpace (remember that?!) after obtaining a copy of his first album/mixtape Dollar Out of 15 Cents, via a friend of a friend.

Previously known as Rob Roy, Robert changed from moniker to full birth name "Robert Raimon Roy" in 2011 to signify a change in artistic direction/approach.
