    Julian Casablancas confirmed the release of fresh material from The Strokes, when he announced the premiere of a new single "OBLIVIUS" on his new Sirius XM radio show. They have also released a second track, "Drag Queen."

    The frontman explained that the single would be appearing a new three-song EP from the band called Future Present Past, a release that also features songs titled "Drag Queen" and "Threat of joy." The EP is available for preorder from Cult Records Website.

    The Strokes' last full length album, Comedown Machine, was released in 2013. Fans will be pleased with today's announcement, and encouraged by the news of some live dates. The band will be playing the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York as a warmup to their highly anticipated headlining slot at the Governors Ball Music Festival.

    Accompanying the news of the release and impending live shows a number of billboards and projections have been appearing in London and New York City. Images of the mini-campaign have been shared via fans twitter accounts and the Cult Records Instagram Account.
