Massive Attack have once again released new material via their iPhone app 'Fantom'. The unveiled song titles are "Come Near Me", "The Spoils", and "Dear Friend"

Earlier this year the iconic trip-hop duo released their Ritual Spirit EP, their first release since 2010's Heligoland. After previewing Ritual Spirit on their app, they gave it a traditional release, releasing star-studded videos for its songs. Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) was in the clip for "Voodoo in My Blood", "Take It There" featured John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter's Bone), and model Kate Moss starred in the title track.

Similar to the band's initial app release, portions of the new material can be accessed by fans through various remixing functions as well as other features on the phone, such as camera, location and movement. The app, which was co-developed by member Robert Del Naja, (3D) allows the user to create their own versions of Massive Attack music, acting as a kind of 'sensory remixer'. Apple Watch users can also integrate it with the Health app so that their heart rate can have an effect on the harmonies and rhythms. To listen to the new tunes and join in the fun, Download Fantom.

At the release of Ritual Spirit, Massive Attack promised a second EP and a new full-length studio album before the end of 2016. Earlier this month the band performed at Hyde Park in London as part of the the British Summertime Festival, in which they lamented the results of the Brexit Vote.
