If you're like us and wondering where the suddenly ubiquitous Jonas Brothers came from, then you'll probably be floored by the following news: Live Nation has snagged the young trio for a two-year, multi-million dollar deal. According to the agreement—the first of its kind for an up-and-coming act, according to Billboard.com—the group will be expected to play more than 140 theater and arena dates, all while working on a new album (they have a mobile studio), a Disney series, and a Disney movie called Camp Rock.
"We haven't really started the Disney assault yet," Johnny Wright, one of the band's managers, told Billboard. Much of the hype behind the band stems from their supporting slot on the incredibly successful Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus "Best of Both Worlds" tour this past fall. The Montana machine has nothing to do with the Jonas Brothers' "Look Me in the Eyes" trek, though.
The abridged world domination plan:
1/31 Tuscon, AZ - TCC Music Hall
2/1 Las Vegas, NV - Planet Hollywood
2/2 Los Angeles, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre
2/5 Everett, WA - Events Center
2/6 Portland, OR - Schnitzer Hal
2/8 Salt Lake City, UT - E Center
2/11 El Paso, TX - Abraham Chavez Theatre
2/12 San Antonio, TX - San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
