Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins is on suicide watch in prison while he awaits trial on extreme (and extremely disturbing) child sex offenses.

A pre-trial hearing at Cardiff Crown Court in Wales on Tuesday, August 13, revealed the news. The singer's defense attorney argued that the singer should be moved to a hospital for treatment.

Watkins' lawyer, Sally O'Neill, stated to the court: "He is on suicide watch five times an hour. A clinical psychologist has seen him and she believes he should be receiving anti-psychotic medication. She wants him to be taken to a secure hospital for assessment and treatment."

Perhaps that will factor into Watkins' defense. He has been in jail since December of last year.

Watkins, 35, denied 24 sex offenses, including accusations so horrific we cannot comprehend them, such as raping a baby.

This case has divided the band's disciple-like fans.

What is your take on this case?
