Disgraced Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins appeared in Cardiff Crown Court in his native Wales via video link from prison on Monday, June 3, to face a whopping 24 charges, including two counts of conspiring to rape a baby under the age of 12 months, and another charge of aiding and abetting the sexual assault of another child, who was under 18 months at the time.

These are horrific charges, and Watkins has been in jail since December of last year when news of the allegations against him broke. The case has divided fans, leaving some who are shocked, mortified and horrified, while others believe that he is innocent until proven guilty and that he is being set up.

According to WENN and the BBC, the singer also faces two counts of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13 along with charges of possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children, and possessing "extreme" animal pornography.

We are still left to wonder what constitutes "extreme" animal porn. As if it's not inherently extreme, no? It's all very disturbing, to say the least.

The singer entered a not guilty plea along with two women, who are 24 and 20. The women also denied sexual offenses against children.

A hearing is set for Thursday, June 6. That is when a trial date should be set.

Watkins released a statement, proclaiming his innocence. He declared, "I want to thank my family, friends and all the fans for the continued support throughout this whole ordeal. Your support gives my strength. I deny all the allegations made against me and I will continue to fight to clear my name."

    And there you have it.

Lostprophets fans, what's your opinion of this case and of Watkins? Has your opinion changed in the past few months?
