M.I.A. will honor her promise to play a free show in the New York City area. The controversial rapper has announced she will play the Brooklyn Bowl on October 6, with admission guaranteed on a first-come, first-served basis. The show is "make up" for her July 2010 show on Governor's Island, which was marred by sound problems and pouring train; M.I.A. promised a "make good" event since her set was watered down and the Brooklyn Bowl is it.

Attendees are supposed to wait until 7 PM ET to start lining up outside the venue and entry will be granted.

Will you attend the free M.I.A. show if you are based in one of the five boroughs?
