M.I.A. Jeopardizes Payment For Big Chill Fest After Inviting Fans on Stage

Controversial rapper M.I.A. might have to pay for her actions. The singer performed at the Big Chill Festival in England on August 7 and she compromised event security by inviting fans to join her on stage during "Paper Planes," which is her biggest hit. By doing so, she may have forfeited her payment for performance. I understand that inviting fans on stage can breach security, but haven't Big Chill organizers heard of these things called moshpits? What's wrong with a little fan participation?
Well, apparently, two security personnel were injured during the fracas, which sucks. That's why fan participation should be watched carefully. M.I.A.'s actions also caused her set to be cut short. She did extend an apology for that.
Should M.I.A. be denied her fee for inviting fans on stage? Or should she be given a free pass since her intentions were most likely honorable?
