Politically inflammatory rapper M.I.A., who is known to be outspoken and has said that if putting her beliefs into music makes her a terrorist so be it, said that her she received death threats when she was in the later stages of her pregnancy with her son, Ikhyd. You may remember that she performed while nine months pregnant at Grammys on the eve of her son's birth! She told UK's Dazed and Confused magazine that "People were sending me death threats and telling me bad s--- about my kid. People would write on Twitter and YouTube, 'Your baby is going to die,' because I was talking about the Sri Lankan government and the issues that were going on there."

M.I.A.'s new album, Maya, lands July 13. The album is reportedly inspired by things that happened, like receiving those death threats.

Do you think people went too far with their death threats?
