Rapper and lightning rod M.I.A. is planning to release Matangi by the end of the year. Last week, she tweeted details and intimated that it'll be out by December. Her last album, Maya, was a flop.

There will be no collabs or features and she even called the music "Paul Simon on acid."

She also plans an autobiographical book, a documentary and an art exhibition. That's a lot of material!

Furthermore, M.I.A. wrote, "No one in the industry collected blows in the last 3 years as much as me, this is a fuck you to them and a thank you to you."

Ah, that' a debatable point. The music biz fucks with a lot of artists. Her struggle is not unique.

Do you want to check out this "Paul Simon on acid" music?
